ACT-ion Highlighted in BriefGlance: A New Chapter in Commercial Growth

We’re pleased to share that BriefGlance, a high-growth business intelligence and digital publishing platform, featured ACT-ion in a recent article spotlighting our leadership transition and the momentum building behind our shift from R&D to commercialization.

As detailed in the article, energy technology veteran Mark McGough has joined us as CEO, bringing more than 25 years of experience in scaling advanced energy ventures, most notably as President and CEO of ultracapacitor manufacturer Ioxus. ACT-ion Founder Jin Lim, PhD, moves into a focused CTO role, allowing him to concentrate on the technology that got us to this level.

The article explores the key timing with our new pilot manufacturing facility in Carrollton, Texas, our $11.5 million Pre-Series A funding led by BASF Venture Capital, and the substantial opportunities for the cathode active materials (CAM) market, projected to reach $74 billion by 2034. The author also noted that our chemistry-agnostic Hydro4Crystal platform will enable ACT-ion to cost-effectively support a more robust domestic battery supply chain.

We’re proud of the milestones that this coverage highlights and even more enthusiastic about what’s next as we scale from pilot manufacturing to production.
